Week of 9/27 - 9/30

Hi Bumblebees,
Can you believe tomorrow is October already? These first months of school are flying by, and we are learning so much! Enjoy the pictures.

Reading Chester's journal about his fun weekend with Kate!
Painting our circles for our friendship circle! What do you like doing with your Bumblebee friends?
Zach showing us all the great C items he brought in the sound box
The class did a fantastic job singing and sharing the story in chapel on Tuesday. Thanks to all of you who came out to watch us! Unfortunately the teacher I asked to take pictures only got pictures of us singing....if you have any pictures of the little play we did, can you please email a couple of them to me? Sorry I don't have any!
Matthew took our "C" book home....The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle!
Painting circles to make our class caterpillar!
Our clowns juggle balls in an ABAB pattern!
Cap Day....and our Class Caterpillar....isn't it cute?
Look how well we're doing writing the letters we have learned so far. Please keep practicing!
Caps for sale! Another great "C" book....and funny too!
Making our very YUMMY caterpillars!
Licking the frosting was the best part!
Aren't they cute?
Playing a matching cookie game. (This was really hard for some of the kids. If you have a simple matching game at home, please play with your child!)
Congratulations to Riley and Yena, our star students this week! Great job!
Please check this picture and your child's backpack to see if they are responsible for anything this weekend. Have fun!
NEXT WEEK:
*The letter D (please send in a SMALL picture that fits completely INSIDE the letter envelope on MONDAY. Some kids are bringing in pictures that are too big for us to use, and we hate to not have them be able to participate!)
*Fire Safety
*MONDAY--the sign up sheet for our upcoming Parent/Teacher conferences will be available on our hallway table starting Monday
*THURSDAY--at 10:00 we are scheduled to have a real fire truck come and visit! Due to our large school size and safety issues we cannot have parents and siblings attend...but we will take pictures!

Please practice with your child:
*ABAB patterns
*simple matching games
*all letters A through D

Class wish list:
*Scooby Doo graham cracker bone snacks
*a couple dozen donut holes for a special "D" treat any morning next week
*2 dozen eggs (will need the morning of Thursday, October 14)
