Week of 9/27 - 9/30

Hi Bumblebees,
Can you believe tomorrow is October already? These first months of school are flying by, and we are learning so much! Enjoy the pictures.

The class did a fantastic job singing and sharing the story in chapel on Tuesday. Thanks to all of you who came out to watch us! Unfortunately the teacher I asked to take pictures only got pictures of us singing....if you have any pictures of the little play we did, can you please email a couple of them to me? Sorry I don't have any!

NEXT WEEK:
*The letter D (please send in a SMALL picture that fits completely INSIDE the letter envelope on MONDAY. Some kids are bringing in pictures that are too big for us to use, and we hate to not have them be able to participate!)
*Fire Safety
*MONDAY--the sign up sheet for our upcoming Parent/Teacher conferences will be available on our hallway table starting Monday
*THURSDAY--at 10:00 we are scheduled to have a real fire truck come and visit! Due to our large school size and safety issues we cannot have parents and siblings attend...but we will take pictures!

Please practice with your child:

*all letters A through D

Class wish list:
*Scooby Doo graham cracker bone snacks
*a couple dozen donut holes for a special "D" treat any morning next week
*2 dozen eggs (will need the morning of Thursday, October 14)

Week of 9/20 -9/23

Hi Bumblebees,
We sure love our families in the Bumblebee class! The kids had so much fun talking about all their family members -- please know you are well loved!

*TUESDAY--our class will be singing and sharing the Bible story in chapel on Tuesday morning. You are more than welcome to stop by and watch. Chapel is at 9:20 and we will be on stage for no more than 5 minutes. If you cannot make it, please do not feel badly! We will take pictures!
*WEDNESDAY -- Cap Day! Please have your child wear a baseball-style cap to school.

Week of 9/13 - 9/16

Hi Bumblebees,
We started the alphabet this week and know all about the letter A! We also studied and learned about our 5 senses and how they work! Enjoy the pictures.

It's all about the letter A this week!
Bumblebee, Bumblebee, What do you hear?
Each week we will be looking at items that begin with the letter for that week, and working together to write a class list of words that begin with that letter!
The pictures your child brings in the letter envelope each week go onto our "letter of the week" poster!
Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom! Is there enough room for all the A's at the top of the tree?

Our "letter book" of the week was There's an Alligator Under my Bed by Mercer Mayer. Your kids loved this book! Lauren took our ABC binder home and found us more words that start with A!
Using our 5 senses to hear, see, smell, feel, and taste popcorn! Watching it pop out of the air popper was so much fun!
