Week of 4/25 - 4/28

Hi Bumblebees,
It's the end of April already! We are heading into our last month of being Bumblebees -- hard to believe! Enjoy the pictures.

It's all about the letter X this week!
Josue showing us the great X items he brought in the class sound box!
Your child brought home a bright yellow light bulb this week! I hope you hung it somewhere to remind your family to turn off the lights! The kids were really on top of this during the week, even reminding us!
What are some ways you can give the earth a helping hand?
Now that Chester and Ronnie have had a turn to go home with each Bumblebee, they've been coming to the Center Room every day to play with us!
We are still practicing the days of the week and months of the year each day during calendar time. Please continue to review with your kids!
Sammy got to take our letter-of-the-week book home this week. Fox in Socks by Dr. Seuss!
We are all gloved up and ready to help our world!
We found a LOT of garbage to pick up!
Yuck!

Look at all the garbage we found!
X is for x-ray
We graphed our weather for April. Sunny won again of course!
Look at all the different kinds of things we can recycle to help our planet Earth! Please have your kids participate in your recycling at home!
Please check this picture to see if your child is responsible for something this weekend. Have fun!
NEXT WEEK:
*The letter Y (please send in a "y" picture in the letter envelope on MONDAY)
*Mother's Day!
*THURSDAY -- all mothers are invited to our Bumblebee Mother's Day tea from 9:00 to 9:30! Thanks to those of you who have RSVP'd already. It looks like we're going to have a full room and lots of delicious food. If you have not returned your RSVP yet, please let us know by Monday if you are coming and what you're bringing. The kids are very much looking forward to your being there!
*THURSDAY -- after the Mother's Day Tea, if you sent in money for your child to decorate a Mother's Day cake from Publix (you would have sent in the money a long time ago), your child will be doing this Thursday morning. If you never sent money, it's too late now, since Publix had to know the amount of needed supplies. Sorry.

Please practice with your child:
*All letters and sounds A through Y
