Hi Bumblebees,
Thanks to so many of you who sent in the project about your jobs/careers. That helped us tremendously as we talked about community helpers this week! Enjoy the pictures.
Reading Chester (and his baby brother Ronny's) journal about their fun weekend with Haley!

Practicing our last name with stickers....

...and writing our last names

Future construction workers?

Kaylee showing us the great "L" items she brought in the class sound box

Happy 5th birthday, Riley! We're so glad you're a Bumblebee!

Thanks for the awesome bumblebee hive cake, too!

L is for "
lift" with Alphabet Al

We even learned how to make an "L" with our whole body!

Future mommy?

BLUE DAY show-and-tell!

Sammy got to take our letter-of-the-week book home. Lunch by Denise Fleming!

Often you can tell about a person's job just by the uniform or clothes they wear!

After reading our book-of-the-week about a messy mouse eating
lunch....we made our own messy mice! I hope you got to read our copy of the book!

Thanks to police officer Juanita from the Safety Village, a community helper who came to talk to us about Stranger danger. Ask your child what they learned!

Future doctors?

Our mom's and dad's jobs are now in our class picture book! Thanks again to all of you who did those. Your kids were so proud to show you off! When it's your child's turn to bring the picture book home, take a look!

Even though we learn a new letter every week, we daily practice all the letters we've already learned.

We FINALLY have a working computer in our center room! Yeah!

Lots of fun stuff going home this weekend. Please check this picture and/or your child's backpack to see if they are responsible for anything. Have fun!

NEXT WEEK:
*The letter Mm
*All types of weather
*MONDAY--no school in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Enjoy your long weekend.
*TUESDAY--please send in a small "M" picture in the letter envelope.
Please practice with your child:
*All letters A through M
*cutting
*spelling, recognizing, and writing their last names
*months of the year in order
Class wish list:
If each of you could send in one container of Clorox wipes, we'd appreciate it! We try our hardest to stay on top of these germs!
