Week of 11/8 - 11/11

Hi Bumblebees!
Happy Veterans Day to all of our parents and relatives who have, are, or will be serving in the military! We are so thankful for all you do to ensure our freedom!
Enjoy the pictures!

Reading Chester's journal about his fun weekend with Sammy!
It's all about the letter I this week!
I is for ice cream, of course! What is your favorite flavor?
Josue showing us the great I items he brought in the class sound box
Yeah for ice cream! Thanks to all our families who sent it in! We had enough to have TWO ice cream parties this week!
Check our our super-yummy ice cream cone!
I is for instruments....
...which we like to play really, really loudly!
The itsy-bitsy spider caught 10 insects in its web (please practice counting 10 items with your child)
Alphabet Al's I word is isometric. Ask your kids what this really big word means!
BROWN DAY show-and-tell!
Brianna took our letter-of-the-week book home. The Itsy Bitsy Spider by Iza Trapani!
Making our itsy-bitsy spider houses, complete with a waterspout!
Working on our new AAB pattern on our calendar!
Working on our newspaper about making healthy choices!
Cute itsy-bitsy spider houses!
What do you like to eat? (Please read this mini book with your child. We are working on recognizing the words 'yes' and 'no')
A quick overview of the food pyramid
Congratulations to our many star students this week! Keep up the good work!
Have fun!
NEXT WEEK:
*No letter-of-the-week next week (the fact that there is no letter-of-the-week envelope in your child's folder today is for once NOT a teacher mistake!!). We will be reviewing all letters A through I.
*Thanksgiving (please do not expect a large variety of turkey craft projects to come home next week. We will spend most of the week learning the story of the original Thanksgiving day, and reviewing our alphabet.)
*WEDNESDAY--our class Thanksgiving meal. If you signed up to send something in for this, a reminder went home in your child's folder today. Thank you!

Please practice with your child:
*All letters A through I
*Our Christmas program song!!

Class wish list:
jelly beans
1 jar of grape jelly
1 jar of strawberry jelly
